Methyl-Plex B™: A Practical Guide to Methylation & Healthy Homocysteine Support
Methylation is a wellness buzzword often tossed around with little explanation. Simply put, methylation is a normal, ongoing process your body uses for cellular function and cardiovascular support. Methylation involves adding a small chemical group, a methyl group, to other molecules, which is important for many bodily functions. It comes up frequently in the supplement world because methylation is closely connected to homocysteine metabolism—a process where your body breaks down homocysteine, an amino acid. Supporting healthy homocysteine levels is a common wellness goal.*
That’s where Methyl-Plex B™ makes a difference. This innovative formula is expertly crafted to promote optimal methylation and healthy homocysteine levels by using potent, active forms of key B vitamins, along with trimethylglycine (TMG). Experience targeted support for your overall health and vitality.*
What Methyl-Plex B™ is designed to support
This formula is positioned for:
Healthy homocysteine levels *
Optimal methylation support *

Why “active” B vitamins matter for methylation
B vitamins come in different forms, and some require extra conversion steps before the body can use them efficiently. Methyl-Plex B™ uses active forms of these vitamins, meaning they do not need to be converted by the body before use:
B2 (riboflavin 5’-phosphate)
B6 (pyridoxal 5’-phosphate)
B12 (methylcobalamin)
These forms are selected because they closely match what the body uses in methylation pathways.
The folate form: 5-MTHF (Quatrefolic®)
Folate is a key part of the methylation conversation. This formula includes 5-MTHF, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, which is considered the most biologically active form of folate and is intended to support rapid uptake into the bloodstream.* You may also see it called the “L” form of 5-MTHF because it is the reduced form of folate.
What TMG (trimethylglycine) adds
Methyl-Plex B™ also includes trimethylglycine (TMG), known as betaine. In methylation-support formulas, TMG is often used as a methyl donor, helping support methylation capacity, especially when paired with active B vitamins.
